Intimate Care FAQ
Your Questions, Answered with Care
At Queens of Yoni Detox, your wellness is our highest priority. We know that questions around intimate health can feel personal — and they deserve thoughtful, honest answers. Below you will find guidance on how to use our products safely, who they are designed for, and when it is best to consult a healthcare provider.
Please note: Queens of Yoni Detox products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. The information below is for general wellness education only. Always consult a qualified clinician with any medical concerns.
1. Will your products help with intimate odor?
Our products are crafted to support a clean, fresh feeling — not to mask symptoms of an underlying condition. Several of our formulas include ingredients that may help manage odor as part of a consistent hygiene routine:
- V Wipes are made with organic ingredients including rose water, coconut, tea tree, and peppermint essential oils, and are designed to help fight bacteria and yeast while creating an extra-clean feeling.
- V Mist is a deodorizing mist blended with nourishing aloe vera and medicinal botanicals that helps prevent and absorb perspiration and unpleasant odors in the intimate area.
- Her Highness Suppositories (YoniPops) may help provide an odor-free experience and support overall pH balance. Use at your own risk; do not use more than 4 capsules per month.
- Intimate Wash (V Wash) uses apple cider vinegar, aloe vera, and essential oils to support a healthy pH environment during your daily bath or shower routine.
Important: Persistent or unusual odor can be a sign of bacterial vaginosis (BV), a yeast infection, or another condition that requires clinical evaluation. Our products are not a substitute for medical treatment. Please consult your healthcare provider if odor is ongoing or accompanied by other symptoms.
2. Can your products disrupt my pH balance?
The vaginal environment is naturally acidic and self-regulating. Our formulas are thoughtfully designed with this in mind:
- Intimate Wash (V Wash) is formulated with apple cider vinegar and plant-based oils specifically to help maintain pH balance and support the body's natural defenses against bacteria and yeast.
- Her Highness Suppositories (YoniPops) contain probiotics and salts that may help support overall pH balance.
- Organic Loose Tea – Ginger Lemon Blend includes lemon, which is noted for its acidic properties that may help support vaginal pH when consumed as part of a balanced diet.
We recommend using intimate products as directed and avoiding overuse. If you notice changes in discharge, odor, or comfort after starting any new wellness product, discontinue use and speak with your healthcare provider.
3. Which products are for external use only?
This distinction is important for your safety. Please review the following carefully:
- Yoni Oil — External use only. Do not use inside the anus or vaginal canal. Ideal for the external pubic area, especially after shaving or waxing.
- Sensual Oil — Intended as a Yoni and massage oil; use externally unless otherwise directed.
- Yoni Elixir — An external healing oil blend suggested for use on delicate skin; apply nightly until desired results are achieved.
- V Mist — External use for the feminine area and under-breast area.
- QYD Bar Soaps — May be used for full body and external intimate cleansing. Do not insert.
- Intimate Wash (V Wash) — For external use during bathing and showering.
- Yoni Steam — Steam-based; external use. If you have an IUD, do not steam for more than 15 minutes. Not recommended during pregnancy.
Products intended for internal use include:
- Her Highness Suppositories (YoniPops) — Vaginal suppositories. Insert 1–2 capsules using the included applicator. Do not take by mouth. Do not use if pregnant.
- V Gloss — May be applied to the internal as well as external vaginal area using a clean finger.
- Queen's Peak Capsules — Insert vaginally approximately one hour before intercourse. Do not take by mouth.
- Organic Loose Tea Blends, Candy Crystals, Phibiotics Probiotic, Black Seed Oil — For oral consumption only.
4. Are your products safe for sensitive skin?
Our formulas are crafted using natural and organic ingredients and are free from many common harsh chemicals. However, every queen's skin is unique. Here is what we recommend:
- Always patch test before first use. Apply a small amount to the inside of your wrist or forearm and wait 24 hours. If redness, itching, or irritation occurs, do not use the product.
- Review the ingredient list for each product. Many of our formulations include essential oils such as tea tree, peppermint, and eucalyptus, which can be sensitizing for some individuals.
- If you have a known allergy to any listed ingredient, do not use that product.
- Those with eczema, psoriasis, or other diagnosed skin conditions should consult their dermatologist before introducing new intimate care products.
5. How do I patch test a new product?
Patch testing is a simple and important step before introducing any new skincare or intimate wellness product:
- Apply a small amount of the product (about the size of a dime) to the inside of your wrist or inner elbow.
- Leave it on for 24 hours without washing the area.
- Check for any reaction: redness, swelling, itching, or burning.
- If no reaction occurs, the product is likely safe for your skin type.
- If irritation occurs, rinse the area with cool water and discontinue use.
When trying a new product for intimate use, we always recommend patch testing on a less sensitive area of skin first.
6. Can I use your products during pregnancy?
Several of our products include specific contraindications for pregnancy:
- Her Highness Suppositories (YoniPops) — Do not use if pregnant.
- Black Seed Oil — Not recommended if breastfeeding or pregnant.
- Candy Crystals — Do not use if breastfeeding or pregnant.
- V Gloss — Listed as safe to use while pregnant; however, we recommend consulting your OB-GYN before introducing any new intimate wellness product during pregnancy.
When in doubt, always check with your midwife, OB-GYN, or healthcare provider before using any wellness product during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
7. Does the Yoni Steam help with odor or vaginal health?
Our Comfortable at Home V Steam uses a blend of organic herbs — including Red Clover, Raspberry Leaf, Mugwort, Lavender, Basil, Nettles, Damiana, Oregano, Hibiscus, and Calendula — traditionally used to support pelvic wellness. The steam may help fight bacteria and provide a sense of cleansing and comfort.
Safety reminders for steaming:
- Always wave your hand 8–10 inches over the water to confirm the temperature is safe before sitting.
- If you have an IUD, do not steam for more than 15 minutes.
- Do not steam if you are pregnant or during your menstrual cycle.
- Yoni steaming is a holistic wellness practice, not a medical treatment. It is not intended to cure any ailment.
If you are experiencing persistent vaginal symptoms, please consult a gynecologist before steaming.
8. When should I consult a clinician?
Our products are designed to complement — not replace — professional healthcare. Please seek guidance from a qualified clinician if you experience any of the following:
- Unusual, persistent, or foul-smelling vaginal odor
- Abnormal discharge (color, texture, or volume changes)
- Itching, burning, or pain in the intimate area
- Suspected or confirmed BV, yeast infection, or STI
- Symptoms that do not improve after discontinuing product use
- Any new symptom that appears after beginning a new product
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding (before using any new wellness product)
- Any existing medical condition, including fibroids, IUD placement, or clotting disorders
Your health and safety come first. When in doubt, consult your OB-GYN, gynecologist, or primary care provider.
9. Are your products FDA-approved?
Our products are wellness and personal care items, not pharmaceutical drugs. As noted on several of our product labels: "These statements have not been approved or evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease." We encourage all customers to review full ingredient lists and consult a healthcare provider with any medical questions.
